Title: Technical Engineer Writer Location: Remote, AZ, TX, FL Offices Reports To: Director of Business Development Job Description: The Sterling Technical Engineer Writer is responsible for developing solutions for new program development through RFI and RFP proposal writing with complex technology solutions. The Technical Engineer Writer will also work on technical task order solutioning and emerging technology support for new technology delivered through the Sterling Strategic Technology Group.

The Technical Engineer Writer will use the current Sterling Technology Stack as a foundation and be able to provide solutions by adding emerging technology. Required Education/Experience: The Technical Engineer Writer should have a minimum of 3 years of experience with a degree in Computer Science or similar. Candidates with equivalent experience will be considered.

Required Technical Skills: The Technical Engineer Writer should possess a strong aptitude and understanding of a wide breadth of information technology, products, tools, services and solutions. At a minimum, the Technical Engineer Writer should have baseline familiarity with the entire technology stack as outlined below Virtualization: VMware, Citrix, Nutanix, Hyper-V, Tanzu, OpenShift, VxRail. L2/3 Switching/Routing: Cisco, Arista, Juniper, Extreme, Brocade, NSX, HP/Aruba.

Security: Fortinet, Cisco, Palo Alto, Checkpoint, ZScaler, Nessus, Mimecast, Proofpoint. DR/Backup: Veeam, Zerto, DataDomain, Commvault, Avamar, Rubrik, Cohesity. Storage (block): vSAN, Dell (PowerStore, Unity, Compellent, EqualLogic), HPE (Nimble), Pure Storage, NetApp, Datacore, Software Defined Storage Storage (file/object): Isilon, ECS, NetApp, Pure, Clumio, Nasuni.

Cloud: AWS, Azure, Google, Oracle. Services: MSP and Deployment experience Primary Responsibilities:. Gather information from RFI/RFPs, documentation, and internal subject matter experts, write a draft response, coordinate with third party providers, obtain approvals, and finally submit the proposal and supporting documents Determine technical requirements by identifying and clarifying objectives within the RFI/RFPs Gather proposal information by identifying sources of information and coordinating with key subject matter experts and other internal contributors for additional information as needed Determine and develop technical solutions for task orders Develop and present capability matrix and value alignment documentation.
