This includes developing, maintaining, coordinating, supporting, and optimizing the network infrastructure and any supporting systems. This role will also track, detail, and remediate network infrastructure-related issues assigned through the Incident and Change Management processes. This position can be located in Richardson TX, Suwanee, GA, Hickory, NC or Lisle, IL.
How You'll Help Us Connect the World: In this role, you will work with business stakeholders to understand needs and implement solutions based on defined requirements. Lead project initiatives to implement networking solutions and build project and implementation plans by connecting with and coordinating internal and external project resources as needed. Assist with root cause analysis, troubleshooting and remediation of network events as assigned and conduct all necessary follow-up actions based on assignments. Other responsibilities:.
Coordinate resolution efforts and prepare reports of findings Develop and thoroughly understand WAN/LAN networking basics, protocols, and standard processes (ie, DNS, Routing, NAT, web traffic, and email traffic) Lead major network project initiatives relating to new site activations, site moves and wireless rollouts. Support ongoing implementation of SDWAN technology; hands-on experience with Versa Networks preferred. Develop Network Automation tools through advanced scripting; Python, YAML, JSON, etc Create network documentation and network standards documents as assigned Recommend policies, procedures, and standards changes and ensure conformance with IT and Company objectives.
Participate and assist in driving the knowledge management process Assists in the recommendation and acquisition of new solutions and equipment Assists with establishing budgetary requirements for equipment and services. Seven or more years of experience supporting the implementation and support of LAN/WAN solutions.
Experience with F5 load-balancing solutions. Experience with automation and scripting. Solid understanding of networking protocols (BGP, OSPF, GRE, HSRP/VRRP, SNMP, MPLS, QoS, DNS, etc.
) Incumbents may be required to be available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. You Will Excite Us If You Have. Ruckus' switching/wireless experience.
Network certification (CCNA/CCNP). Strong analytical and problem-solving, and technical documentation skills.
