Enterprise-wide Role Overview:

Responsible for handling end to end responsibilities of Letter of Credit transactions for Small Business, Business Banking and/or Commercial Banking clients. Customer facing responsibilities throughout the process. Obtain transaction information which may include clients credit history/financial information. Exercise loan authority individually and in concert with credit and risk management to extend appropriate financing solutions to customers for LC transactions according to the underwriting process. Prepare and review LC documentation in accordance with Bank policies and procedures. Independently consult and act as a liaison with business partners and clients to ensure customer requirements are fully met within the specific time frames. Responsible for the expedited resolution of escalated clients requests, leveraging resources across other functional areas. Monitors the timeliness of the overall LC fulfillment process to achieve client delight. Understands the end-to-end process and utilizes professional judgment in determining appropriate resolution of client needs. Must be client focused, build and sustain relationships, transcend silos to achieve swift adoption. Communicate crisply and candidly to drive client delight. Must be enthusiastic about working with customers and line partners over the phone.

LOB Specific Job Description

The Letter of Credit Coordinator (LCC) is the single point of contact for the Letter of Credit process. The LCC is responsible for proactive communication with client teams, clients and business partners, as well as for tracking and accountability throughout the process.

The LCC team performs two main functions - facilitating the issuance of new and amended letters of credit, and processing the auto-renewal of letters of credit. This position is open on the team that handles new and amended letters of credit (New/Mod team). The New/Mod team has customer-facing responsibilities throughout the process. The team prepares and reviews Letter of Credit documentation in accordance with Bank policies and procedures. They manage providing excellent client service and holding business partners accountable for executing in a timely manner.
