The Opportunity We are seeking a dedicated Credit Risk Analyst - Investments. This person will the subject have strong quantitative skills, excellent communication skills and experience in risk.

Must be a self-starter and have a strong background in credit risk as it pertains to fixed income securities and insurance portfolios. This Credit Risk Analyst - Investments is a hybrid work type and can be based in one of the following locations: San Antonio, TX or Plano, TX. Hybrid roles help employees gain the best of both worlds - collaborating in-person in the office and working from home when needed to achieve focused results What you'll do:.

Utilizes advanced analytics to assess future risk, opportunities, and effectiveness and translates results into meaningful solutions to enhance decision making Assesses and mitigates exposures through the identification of key and emerging risks in alignment with the risk strategy and appetite Applies knowledge to produce analytical material for discussions with cross functional teams to understand complex business objectives and influence solution strategies Produces and communicates analytical content for discussions with cross functional teams, governance committees and business process owners to influence business strategies May create statistical reporting and financial analysis to forecast results for required stress test scenarios, including analyzing and challenging stress testing results and partnering with relevant functions to validate those results May engage in model validations, produce model validation reports, measure and aggregate model risks, and/or report on model issues to committees, auditors, and regulators. What you have:. Bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance, Statistics, Mathematics, Actuarial Sciences, or other quantitative field 4 additional years of related experience beyond the minimum required may be substituted in lieu of a degree 4 years related quantitative analysis experience in a discipline relevant to risk management to include statistical analysis, modeling, mathematics or other quantitative discipline. OR advanced degree/designation in Economics, Finance, Statistics, Mathematics, Actuarial Sciences, or other quantitative discipline and 2 years work experience in a quantitative discipline relevant to risk management.

OR PhD in Economics, Finance, Statistics, Mathematics, or other quantitative discipline. What sets you apart:. Broad understanding of financial risk management. Ability to create insightful visualizations of complex data and communicate findings to senior executives and broad audiences.

Progress toward or completion of CFA or FRM designations. Excellent communicator, both written and verbal. Experience with credit risk as it pertains to fixed income securities and insurance portfolios.

Experience with Python, Tableau, SQL preferred. What we offer: Compensation: USAA has an effective process for assessing market data and establishing ranges to ensure we remain competitive. You are paid within the salary range based on your experience and market data of the position. The actual salary for this role may vary by location.

The salary range for this position is: $95,250 - $182,030. Employees may be eligible for pay incentives based on overall corporate and individual performance and at the discretion of the USAA Board of Directors.
