As a Marketing Project Manager, you will contribute to the organization and process flow for marketing projects in conjunction with your brand partners. You will develop an understanding of all facets of marketing to support the project through the entire marketing lifecycle and will be an integral part of the team, working as a liaison between the business and creative services team to ensure cross-functional success.

You will engage with brand leaders and marketing subject matter experts to translate the business objectives and requirements into executional milestones to create an overall project roadmap. You will need to advocate for your partners and collaborate with the creative ops & pre-media teams to ensure the delivery of the project is aligned with department goals and delivery needs. Provide templates & timelines for marketing leadership presentations and help with check-ins and timelines for key executive presentations.

Additionally, you will have a direct report (Marketing Project Specialist) whom you will mentor while supporting Michaels values and culture. Major Activities Project Management. Build strategic relationships across relevant business functions and teams in order to drive alignment, resolve conflicts and mitigate competing priorities Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to understand business and project needs, outcomes and value, and provide input to ensure roadmaps are aligned to those needs.

Effectively prioritize projects and programs across the organization with changes in strategy and demand as business needs change and evolve Create roadmaps that account for and integrate dependencies across functional areas within the Michaels business Manage a diverse set of responsibilities and stakeholders through the entire lifecycle of a project Define scope and prioritization of project milestones and manage staged releases if necessary Identify key risks and dependencies of initiatives/projects and develop action plans to mitigate risks Serve as a liaison between business, creative ops & pre-media partners to provide an end-to-end roadmap with milestones to meet the business needs When applicable, engage with e-commerce, technology, and development teams to execute marketing assets. Communicate with the business, creative ops and pre-media teams to ensure alignment and visibility into the project delivery cycle. This includes but is not limited to updating documentation along the lifecycle of a project, ensuring measurement criteria is defined at the onset of a project, etc. Strategy Support.

Support the development of materials & manage timelines & check-ins for monthly & quarterly marketing leadership decks. Team Building. Lead, train, and mentor team members with an eye to growing an individual's skills & competencies while supporting Michaels values and culture. Other duties as assigned Minimum Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Minimum Education.

Bachelor's Degree required Minimum Special Certifications or Technical Skills. Process and journey mapping. Must be an expert in Microsoft Suite, including presentations and project management software Minimum Type of Experience the Job Requires.

6+ years of product management or project management experience. 3+ years mentoring/coaching a direct report. Understands basic project management methodology.

Experience managing projects and working cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment. Customer-focused with high-quality standards. Excellent oral and written communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with business partners.
