The Global Communications team is responsible for telling the story of how Coursera is shaping the future of work and education, and transforming lives through access to high-quality, job-relevant education. The team is a nimble, high-impact, and globally-distributed group that works with key business stakeholders and cross-functional partners in a fast-paced, dynamic environment to tell the right stories to the right audiences at the right time.
As the PR Manager for Institutions (Businesses, Governments, Campuses), you will be responsible for managing and supporting a full range of enterprise PR initiatives, including product and partnership announcements, bylines and thought leadership, speaking opportunities, and supporting collaboration efforts with global coalitions. Reporting to the Director of Global Communications, Institutions, you will help shape U.S. and global conversations about creating equal access to opportunity in the digital economy, cross-sector collaboration, and the future of work and education.
You will manage day-to-day PR activities for marquee announcements and proactive storytelling including media strategy, asset development, spokesperson preparation, and agency management - in close coordination with C-suite leadership, cross-functional partners, external partners, and regional communications leads to extend global stories to countries around the world. The role is fully-remote and US-based - you will have global access to WeWork and occasional travel for events and tours may be required.
The ideal candidate is a creative storyteller, fast learner and self-starter, and well-connected strategic communications pro with technology comms experience and a track record of building relationships with key U.S. national and business media that lead to high-impact results. The ideal candidate will have a passion for Coursera's mission and exceptional writing, communication, multi-tasking, and collaboration skills.
As a key member of the global comms team, you will be integrated into many of our strategic initiatives, with active hands-on experience and participation in high visibility projects. You will also be responsible for building a roster of key media relationships that are critical to telling our stories.

Compensation
Our job titles may span more than one career level. The starting base pay for this role is between $92,000 and $200,000 for all US candidates. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs, and location. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role may also be eligible for bonus, equity, and benefits.
