ISG Technology Controls Analyst

The Information Services Group (ISG) is responsible for providing authoritative sources of reference data to our clients across the Institutional Client Services (ICG) organization, through implementing state of the art technologies which promote the collection, storage, analysis, and distribution of product, pricing, account, and corporate action data. The ISG organization works in partnership with data clients across all ICG business lines, deploying solutions to increase their competitiveness, through restructuring business processes, simplifying information access, and providing business intelligence around critical data.

The ISG Technology Controls Analyst is part of a global team focused on in business controls and regulatory governance working in collaboration with the broader Information Services Group (ISG) Control function and ISG Technology teams and management structures to identify & mitigate technology risks to ensure an effective control environment.

This is an important role, reflective of the increasing criticality of strong risk and control focus within a large organisation such as ISG.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Technology risk reviews and oversight of risks and controls
  • Recommend appropriate and pragmatic solutions to risk and control issues
  • Identification of control gaps in relation to Technology processes, applications, Information Security Policy and other internal policies.
  • Championing quality improvement initiatives in the technical space
  • Liaising with key stakeholders to ensure consistency and best practices
  • Policy/Guidelines development, standardization, awareness, implementation assistance, and enforcement of related policies globally
  • Monitoring of key technology risk and control related MIS
  • subject matter technical expert and trusted advisor on risk and control issues to management and staff
  • Supporting the proactive targeted review and process mapping teams for the risk mitigation program
  • Assist in Risk and Control projects if required, providing technical experience/knowledge to participate in reviews or assist with the closure of audit issues/CAPs

Qualifications

  • 3 to 5 years of Financial Services experience on risk & controls, compliance assurance, business analysis and/or internal audit.
  • Detailed understanding of technology and application risks and controls gained through previous role, including self-assessments.
  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field OR equivalent experience
  • Strong analytical and interpretation to effectively translate process data into the larger control framework and identify issues/control breaks.
  • Proven success in a team environment and willingness to help team achieve goals
  • Intermediate/Advance English is a must.
  • Ability to multitask and adapt to a changing environment.
  • Able to adjust work schedule on occasion to interact with global partners.
