This is a Short-Term International Assignment with the opportunity to transfer to a Long-Term International Assignment.

Job Description:

Organizational Activity Interface (OAI) personnel are responsible for the integration of the Fire Unit and Battalion during the System Integration and Check-Out (SICO) process. The OAI personnel will also provide assistance to the SICO Team during unpacking, inventory, inspection, repair and check out of the Major End Items (MEIs). The Organizational Activities Interface (OAI) will provide technical field operational assistance to the FMS Air Defense Patriot Battalion personnel. The OAI will advise and assist with training of Patriot Battalion (BN) and Fire Unit (FU) personnel in required operational skills. Assist with BN and FU operational software initialization, to include formulating system databases and communication plans. Provide expertise on system software (eg, initialization, operation, and training). Supports tasks that ensure the integrated Patriot System is fully operational to include all aspects of the Air Battle at the BN and FU levels. Assist with New Equipment Training (NET) and sustainment training with classroom and practical exercises to include software (PDB's) and hardware (sweeps) update training. This position is located in Manama, Bahrain.

Required Skills:

Must have directly related experience conducting System Integration and Check-Out (SICO) process. Experience in the Patriot Evaluation Section and Patriot Tactical Operations at the Battalion or higher level. Experience with providing Technical Advice and Assistance to Patriot Battery personnel with operational and tactical procedures with the Patriot System. Experience with the operation and management of exercises utilizing practice scenarios with the Patriot Engagement Control Station (ECS) and Information and Coordination Central (ICC). Demonstrated knowledge on TACSOP's and shall be capable of assisting in the training of organizational level system upgrades. Prior participation in conduct of On-the-Job Training (OJT) Programs. Demonstrated experience instructing Patriot organizational classes in the classroom and on the tactical equipment or Patriot training equipment in the following areas: March Order and Emplacement, System Initialization and Mapping, Air Defense Mission (ADM) against Air-Breathing Threats (ABT) and Tactical Ballistic Missiles (TBM), Guided Missile Reload. Must have successfully completed the Patriot Operator and System Mechanic MOS 24T/14E/140E/140K conducted under the auspices of the U.S. Army Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC) or an equivalent course of instruction conducted by the Patriot Missile System Contractor. Performs other related duties as required or directed by the section officer. Must be able to lift 50 pounds and work in an extreme environment. Must have a current Secret Security Clearance.

Desired Skills:

Good working knowledge of PATRIOT communication links. Demonstrated one (1) year of Collective Training experience or assignment to a deployed PATRIOT Battalion in CONUS or OCONUS. Graduate of the U.S. Army Top Gunner/Master Gunner Course. Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point.

Required Education:

Bachelor's degree in related field and at least five (5) years of experience or equivalent directly relating to the tactical operations at the PATRIOT BN level or higher. Experience can be substituted for educational requirements. Must have at least 10 years of related experience without a degree.
