REQUIREMENTS:

Must have extensive knowledge of and minimum 7 years demonstrated experience with the following:

Routing protocols (including but not limited to OSPF/BGP in a service provider network)
BGP, IBGP, EBGP, BGP route reflectors, BGP confederations complex multi-provider peering
Metro Ethernet, MEF 3.0, MEF-CECP, MEF-NF
MPLS core Networks (MPLS-TE, RSVP, LDP, L3VPN, L2VPN/Pseudowires, CESoPSN etc.)
Switching (including but not limited to STP, VLAN Trunking (802.1q), LACP, QinQ)
Cisco products like the ASR9006 to 9922, NCS400, NCS5000 and 7600's
Juniper MX-Series and EX-Series
Cisco nexus experience helpful but not required
Ability to work under minimal supervision while performing network engineering level functions, such as basic and advanced network analysis and troubleshooting, in support of Service Provider networks
Proficient in creating basic and advance network layout and design with strong implementation skills in a Service Provider network
Ability to create Method of Procedures (MOP) and configuration templates for integration of new services or equipment for Service Provider customers
Must have extensive knowledge and experience understanding industry best practices on network architecture and engineering
Experienced in robust network, product/service, system design and implementation strategies
Willing to interface with various levels of employees, mentoring less senior engineering staff and providing reports to support management
Ability to travel up to 50% of the time when not at client sites
Must have verifiable experience working in a Service Provider environment (either directly or via vendors)
Must have at least one of the following certifications: CCNP/CCIP or JNCIS. CCIE desirable but not required.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provide engineering assistance in the Service Provider Wireless Carrier space (specializing in Cisco and Non Cisco equipment)
Serve as the SME within Services and Technical aspects of Service Provider networks (SP Architectures, IP/MPLS, LTE/IMS, IPv6, IP NGN, Cloud etc.)
During implementation, the SE works closely with the Project Manager to coordinate the staging and deployment of equipment, ensures project checkpoints are met, and performs validation testing.
Developing the Scope of Work (SOW) and Bill of Material (BOM) for all projects, ensuring the equipment and configuration specified will meet customer requirements.
