Supervisor - IS Production Control

As our Production Control Supervisor, you will Supervise staff at multiple locations within the Data Center Services department. This team actively performs batch job definition, setup, execution and will automate and schedule software and identify system/application issues.

What You'll Do
  • Supervise staff at multiple locations responsible for monitoring and supporting delivery of enterprise services, including:
    • Batch job scheduling and execution across the enterprise
    • Change management across the enterprise
    • Enterprise backup systems
    • Programmer and user support
    • ITIL compliance
    • Enterprise file transfer administration
  • You'll be responsible for managing the day-to-day operational support for engineering staff.
  • You'll ensure appropriate staff coverage for effective support of nationwide time zone requirements.
  • You'll administer the enterprise Change Management system to ensure standards and audit compliance.
  • You'll provide technical knowledge and direction to subordinates and document subordinate performance and developmental plans for each team member.
  • You'll coordinate internal and external escalation of issues.
  • You'll provide management reporting of daily activities.
  • Participate in various projects ensuring adequate knowledge is transferred from project design to production implementation and ongoing support.
  • Develop, build, and report performance metrics of Production Control.
  • Travel periodically to multiple locations.
What You'll Need
  • Good working knowledge of enterprise scheduling systems (Control-M, CA7, etc.).
  • Working knowledge of enterprise backup systems.
  • Working knowledge of industry-standard Data Center automation, automated balancing, output management, and change management processes.
  • Prepares and conducts performance appraisals.
  • Experience with support, installation, administration, and maintenance of enterprise OS & industry-standard software packages, including:
    • Control-M
    • BMC Helix
    • ISPW
    • NetBackup
    • MOVEit
    • CA View/Deliver/OM Web Viewer
    • JCL
    • JSCAN
    • ISPF
  • Familiarity with Agile and Kanban methodologies.
  • Be willing to mentor and provide guidance to team members.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills to work with a wide variety of IS clients, vendors, staff, and consultants.
  • Must be client-focused and collaborate with engineers, developers, and infrastructure teams to provide dynamic and reliable services.
  • Strong organizational leadership skills.
