Senior Product Manager (Platform)

As part of the digital product management group, the Senior Product Manager, Platform will be responsible for defining and leading initiatives for our shared services platform.

In this role, you will own the roadmap planning, implementation and delivery of several platform services which are leveraged by a broad range of applications, multiple teams and spanning multiple business lines. You will partner with a team of product managers, engineering, architects and others to define new capabilities and support cross-business unit initiatives and platform enhancements. You will work closely and build technical alignment across multiple teams to enable a solid platform foundation and scalable system integrations.

The ideal candidate will be someone who can navigate a fast paced environment while demonstrating strong analytical and technical skills.

Primary Responsibilities

Partner with internal stakeholders (including but not limited to other product managers and engineering teams) to manage the shared services from the strategic planning to tactical implementation plans

Collaborate with multiple engineering teams to define scope, detailed requirements and system design for each platform component

Own the product roadmap, definition and its execution

Manage the backlog of requests and features and prioritize it accordingly

Accountable for high quality, solid documentation of APIs, functional and technical requirements

Maintain a documentation library of requirements, API catalogs and product performance KPIs/metrics and update as required

Participate/Facilitate scrum ceremonies and help define technical solutions with on-shore and off-shore scrum teams

Analyze relevant data to drive decision-making and inform future roadmaps

Establish key processes to increase team velocity

Partner with QA teams to align on quality benchmarks

Qualifications

Bachelors in Computer Science or related field

5+ years of experience in platform or API product management

Validated experience in the development of highly performing backend applications and API design, web services technologies and application ecosystems

Proven track record of launching common components for internal consumption

Experience with Lean-Agile principles/Devops environment

Prior experience leading and influencing remote engineering teams

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Proven ability to work and influence cross functional teams; effective at building rapport with key stakeholders

Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.

Flexible, and agile; willingness to tackle any type of challenge; highly motivated to roll up sleeves and get work done while also thinking strategically

Experience working in an agile development environment
