Job Description
Credence Management Solutions, LLC (Credence) is seeking an Instructional Systems Designer (ISD) to join a dynamic, high performing team producing training and education products for some of our nation s finest military service members. We need ISDs with practical experience with the design, development and implementation of Interactive Multimedia Instruction (IMI) for distance learning instructional deliveries to include scenario-based virtual training environments for a DoD target audience.
  • The Instructional Systems Designer (ISD) will be responsible for the full spectrum design and development of Interactive Multimedia Instruction (IMI) and other instructional deliveries for DoD target audiences.
  • Design engaging and effective training and education (T&E) content applying current adult learning principles and best practices for effective instructional deliveries in distance learning (DL) modes.
  • Conduct subject matter expert interviews and follow-up interactions to delineate the T&E outcomes and instructional strategies.
  • Conduct focused research, analyze technical and conceptual material, and synthesize content, so it is suitable for asynchronous, distance learning T&E modes.
  • Design effective learning objectives and learning activities to meet all objectives.
  • Implement formative and summative evaluation strategies.
  • Develop assessment items to measure learning outcomes.
  • Produce, and document the results of instructional analysis and design products from baseline design documents to storyboards to final IMI deliveries.
  • Ensure document and product logic, accuracy, the appropriate tone for the audience and language consistency adhering to quality control protocols and standards.
  • Ensure product conformance to requirements per documented quality and technical standard conventions.
Job Requirements
  • Top Secret clearance required
  • Master s degree required, preferably in Instructional Design & Technology, Instructional Technology, Curriculum, and Instruction, Educational Psychology or equivalent and minimum of ten (10) years applied experience in ISD techniques
    • Bachelor s degree and 12 years of direct experience may be considered.
  • Experience with DoD training programs using the Planning, Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation (PADDIE) or predecessor process models
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Professional Office Suite and courseware authoring tools
  • Ability to perform effective oral and written communication
  • Must be familiar with DoD/Air Force terminology and procedures.
  • Have a thorough understanding of the inter-relationships of design and learning technology including knowledge of the diverse and extensive range of interface design, graphical, video, audio, authoring and editing software.
  • Candidate must have documented experience with writing curriculum, revising and enhancing existing computer-based training products, blended learning development, and working with government SMEs.
  • Experience working on DoD T&E programs for distance learning or prior military service a plus especially if with the USAF.
